Seasons of Change

I’m thinking about the changing of the season – again! We have just about two hours less sunlight now than we had on June 21. The yard is telling me Fall is coming and frankly, I’m looking forward to some relief from the heat and humidity! It’s not just the weather, however. We’re getting pictures from grandkids and from “extra” grandkids as they announce the beginning of school and the new classes they will be taking! Every season has its special joys.

I am so grateful to watch the season change at the church, too. We had a wonderful service Sunday. There was a great spirit in the air. Our attendance is picking up. Programs are beginning. The building is being readied for new life and possibilities. And we are doing it all with a wary eye on the COVID numbers.

It does my spirit good to see so many of you back in church! We are still missing some of you and we do miss you! I suppose it is hard for you to imagine that your absence makes a difference and leaves a vacuum in our Beloved Community, but trust me, it is true! Consider making the church picnic on September 18 the day you rejoin us! We always have a grand time eating and enjoying each other’s company on that day. It would be so good to “see you then!”
