Opportunities to Serve

As summer winds down, we find ourselves once more in a time of transition. The school year has started, fall festivals are popping up, and our summer worship hours are coming to a close. Starting on September 12, we will return to our 10:30 am worship hour, preceded by Mike’s 9:30 a.m. adult Sunday School class.

Believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about elections to St. John’s 2022 Council and Committees. At our last Council meeting, Becky Pierce, Caroline Maslowski, Barbara Gibbons, and Glenn Lytle agreed to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee. There are a couple openings on Council (including the presidency), as well as the Ministry and Worship, Membership and Outreach, Memorial and Endowment, and Trustees Committees. Please consider volunteering for one of those positions, especially when approached by someone from the Nominating Committee. Getting involved with one of these small groups is a win/win situation: St. John’s wins the benefit of your opinions and expertise, and you win the experience of getting to know some new people in greater depth.

As always, I extend blessings to all of you, and thank you for all you do for our Beloved Community.

Ginny Beamish, Council President
