Summer is finally here to stay and St. John’s has been taking advantage of the outdoor space in particular. We had our first Lemonade on the Lawn event after worship on June 6. Besides enjoying icy drinks and cookies on the side lawn, our members were able to enjoy the playground area while the younger ones played.
Pastor Don has begun a small group which meets biweekly in the living room of The Gathering Place. It centers around our individual personal spiritual journey and has become a nurturing and safe place for those of us who come together to share. Do you have a topic or experience you’d like to share with others? It could focus on the Enneagram, aging, prayer or the Bible; there are endless possibilities. Or do you have something you’d like to learn? I recently heard a group of women talking about a plant class and swap, and also a one-time class teaching macramé. Any macramé teachers in the house?
If you are interested in using the space for a small group or just some informal get together, let Mary Ann know (607-972-6744) and we’ll get you on the calendar. Thanks to all who help keep the space beautiful and who use it with such love and care. If you have any questions or comments, please talk to one of our team members.
